The true Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only good news that can forgive a sinner and make him into a new creation. Because God is good and just, He must punish sin. Since Adam fell, man is totally corrupt in all aspects of his being. Man has done nothing but sin by breaking all of God's law. God is just, and therefore must punish law breakers. In God's unfathomable love, He made a way of escape for man. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be born of a virgin, live a sinless life, and to be crucified. On the cross Jesus bore the wrath of God, the penalty for sin that we deserve. He became our substitute. He died, was buried and then rose from the grave after three days and ascended into Heaven. He now calls all men to repent and believe this Gospel to be saved.

In a sea of counterfeit gospels that surround us, and have ever since Christ died, we must guard the good deposit entrusted to us. We go through great pains to clarify the Gospel, and we go through many more to protect it. Paul said in Galatians 1:8, "But even if we or an angel from Heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed." We take the true Gospel very serious at Floral Park Baptist.

Christ has commissioned His Church (Matt. 28:19-20), which is His body (Eph. 1: 22-23), to proclaim the good news of the Gospel to the ends of the earth. This is the means that God has ordained to advance His Kingdom. We have the joyful privilege to do this both at home and abroad. We dedicate much of our church budget to the cause of Christ, specifically in local Montana missions, and with native church planters and missionaries in Peru.
